What is the iCM Software Development Course?

The iCM (iCET Certified Master) is a software development course for university students in Sri Lanka, built to run alongside a degree rather than replace one. It’s also open to school leavers, non-IT professionals, and aspiring software engineers who want practical, job-ready skills.

Through a hands-on curriculum, the course takes students from programming fundamentals through to modern software development practices, supported by project-based learning, real-world assignments, and exposure to current industry technologies.

University students build problem-solving, analytical thinking, and software development capability while gaining direct experience with programming, databases, web technologies, software design, and professional development practices, fitting around lecture schedules through flexible online and physical learning modes, supported by modern labs and mentorship from working software engineering professionals.

Combining technical training, career guidance, and industry exposure, iCM helps university students and other learners build confidence, strengthen practical expertise, and prepare for advanced software engineering studies, internships, and full-time roles in the software industry.
